Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers
This policy explains what we do with information collected through this website and through our tutoring services, including the student portal where assignments are delivered and graded.
It applies to prospective families who contact us, enrolled students, and the parents or guardians who arrange tutoring on their behalf.
Information we collect
Contact details you give us: name, phone number, email address, and anything you write in a consultation request.
Account information for enrolled students: a username, a securely hashed password, and the programs you are enrolled in. We never store your password in a readable form.
Coursework: the practice questions assigned to you, the answers you submit, your scores, and timestamps showing when work was started and finished.
Scheduling information: the consultation or session times you book, which we hold in our calendar system.
Basic technical data your browser sends automatically, such as IP address and browser type, used to keep the site secure and working.
How we use your information
To schedule and deliver tutoring sessions and consultations.
To assign practice work, grade it, and show students and their parents or guardians how scores are progressing.
To contact you about your sessions, your account, or a question you sent us.
To keep the service secure, diagnose faults, and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use student coursework for advertising.
Students under 18
Most of our students are minors. A parent or guardian arranges tutoring, and we will provide that parent or guardian with access to their student's assignments, submissions, and scores on request.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information without that consent, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.
A parent or guardian may ask us at any time to stop collecting further information from their student, or to delete what we already hold. Doing so may mean we can no longer provide tutoring.
Who we share information with
Service providers who run parts of the service for us — website hosting, the database that stores accounts and coursework, and the calendar system used for scheduling. They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
Parents or guardians of an enrolled student, as described above.
Anyone you explicitly ask us to share with.
Law enforcement or others where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
How long we keep information
Account details and coursework are kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a returning student keeps their score history.
Consultation enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are deleted once they are no longer needed.
You may ask us to delete your information sooner — see the section below.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details at the end of this policy and we will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. We apply the rights described here to everyone regardless of location.
You can opt out of non-essential email from us at any time. We will still send messages necessary to run your tutoring, such as schedule changes.
How we protect information
Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Traffic between your browser and our site is encrypted in transit.
Access to student records is limited to staff who need it to deliver tutoring.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects how we handle student information, contact enrolled families directly.
